Antique copy of the 1898 Yearbook of the United States Department of Agriculture, published in Washington DC at the Government Printing Office in 1899. 768 pages including indexes. Tables and black and white photos are found throughout. Also includes a few color plates. Some plates fold out for larger illustrations and charts. Besides being an official government publication and report, it also includes articles on entomology, new fruits, agriculture in Puerto Rico, Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands, construction of country roads, keeping goats, and more. Front cover is embossed with the seal of the USDA.
