12 vintage Life magazines, dating from October -December 1946. Issues include: October 7, 14, 21 & 28, November 4, 11, 18, & 25, and December 9, 16, 25 & 30, including the 10th Anniversary Issue. These magazines from the post World War II era show a quick return to everyday life, with these issues featuring women, children, pets and leisure. The articles continue to have political features as well as articles about fashion, art, entertainment and Americana. The vintage ads feature full pages in full color. Fascinating for anyone who is interested in WW2 history or mid century trends.
Vintage estate find, please see photos for more information. While we have gently wiped these magazines down, they were stored in an old warehouse for many years and may have residual dust. Some issues have minor water damage or light foxing. Some may have minor mouse damage. Corners or entire issues maybe bent. The October 14 issue is missing the back cover, front is no longer attached as shown. Overall condition is fair to good. All pages seem to be intact otherwise and the magazines are quite readable.
