Copyright is Stockholm 1863, and the previous owner's pencil inscription dates this copy to at least 1870. 381 pages long including index. A pocket-sized volume, it measures about 4 1/4" x 2 7/8" x 1 1/4".Comes with the original protective cardboard sleeve.
Antique estate find, please see photos. In remarkable condition for age. The cardboard sleeve has quite a bit of wear, especially to edges and corners, but is present and without major damage. The book itself has a gorgeously embroidered cover with images that appear to be a kneeling Jesus looking up at an angel on the front and the Virgin Mary on the back cover. Spine reads Psalmbok. in gilded letters. Some wear to spine as shown. Pages have beautiful gilded edges. Pages are intact, binding is in good shape, and the sewn in ribbon bookmark is still present. Overall, a treasure from 160+ years ago!
