Includes a variety of poetry and prose, with entries like "concerning Money" by Benjamin Franklin, "Life Too Short" by Charles Dickens, "Real Cowboy Fun" by Theodore Roosevelt and "Time's Vaired Places" by William Shakespeare. Poets include Henry W. Longfellow, R. L. Stevenson, Louise M. Alcott, and many more. Black and white illustrations throughout. First edition of the 1888-1889 year.
Book is in good condition for age but please see photos. Cover has wear, mostly to corners, edges and spine. Gilding still present but faded, especially on spine. Some cracking to binding at inside covers but all pages are intact. Pages not yellow or brittle. Some pages may have some smudges or staining but overall in good condition. A nice piece to read or to display!
