This is a vintage, 1940's era cast iron skillet made by Birmingham Stove and Range Company in Birmingham Alabama. It is marked 8 L and is part of the Red Mountain series. The smaller pour spouts indicate that it is a later Red Mountain, made shortly before the transition to the Century series. The inside is factory milled. Measures about 10.75" across and 2" deep. Total length with handle is about 15.25"
This piece of vintage Americana is in great condition for its age but please review all photos for more details on condition. No cracks or chips. Slight wobble, about one card, not suitable for glass top stoves. Professionally restored by electrolysis and given several coats of grapeseed oil seasoning. Great for everyday cooking or as a functional piece of decor.
