Set of 10 Hawkins Electrical Guide, published by Theo Audel & Co in 1917. Most volumes are from the 1923-24 impression, although book #3 is a first edition. This was a time when mail order courses were quite popular and these books would be designed for study by men wishing to be electricians or engineers. They cover everything from how electricity works to wiring, tools, voltage and many other relevant subjects. They are illustrated with black and white illustrations, diagrams, and tables throughout.
Vintage estate find, please review photos. These are 100 year old books but overall are in great shape for age. Please note that the cover has come loose on book #1 but all pages are still in the book. The rest of the books are in good, readable condition but may have some typical wear to corners and spine, etc. One of the covers is damaged as shown in photos. Still a neat view into the beginnings of the electrical industry here in the United States.
