Here is a nice vintage Favorite Piqua Ware cast iron skillet, size #8, made in Piqua, Ohio sometime between 1916-1934. It is known to collectors as the "smiley" logo for the curved line under the Favorite Piqua Ware logo on bottom. It is marked with the smiley logo and 8 H underneath, the top side has no markings. Like most older skillets, it has a heat ring on the bottom . It measures 10.5" across, 15" in overall length including handle, and is 2" deep. This was an estate sale find but has been professionally restored. It is a real piece of vintage Americana from about 100 years ago!
No cracks or chips, sits completely flat. Minor utensil marks inside as expected from use over the years. In gorgeous condition for use or display. Minor casting flaw in the inside of skillet wall, please see photos. Overall, it will be hard to find a nicer version of this pan!
It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil.
