Very nice vintage Griswold #12 cast iron skillet with large block logo and heat ring, dates from 1920-1929. This extra large skillet was made in Erie Pennsylvania, only about 60 miles from our farm. Fully restored and seasoned so it is ready for use or display. A very large skillet, it measures about 19" long including handle and helper handle tab, 13.5" across and 2.25" deep. This skillet had a catalog number of 719. It has a 12 on the upper side of the handle, and a bit of a ghost mark of a different 12, positioned slightly lower as shown. This is a hard to find size.
Estate find, please review all photos for more information on condition. No cracks or chips, in very good condition overall. Cooking surface is beautifully smooth with just a few utensil marks. This will be an excellent choice for cooking or to add to your collection. Slight wobble at room temperature if pressed at 2 o'clock or 8 o'clock on a granite counter. It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
