Vintage Griswold double griddle with large block logo, size #8, 745 A. Made between 1925-1950 in Erie PA, less than 60 miles from our farm. This is a large griddle, measuring 22" long including handles and 9" wide. Cooking surface measures 19" x 8.5". Weighs about 8.5 lbs. Marked 8 on the tops of both handles, underside is marked 8, Cast Iron Griddle, Large Block Logo, Erie, PA., U.S.A, 745 A.This griddle is large enough to cook for a crowd!
Vintage find, please see photos. No cracks or chips, has about a one card wobble on granite at room temperature. Sand shift casting flaw runs through the logo on the underside, there is a similar flaw towards the top of the cooking surface. It should not affect cooking performance. Light flea bite rust pitting on the bottom handle and lower cooking surface. This is minimal and will season in with use. Excellent condition for use or display. Professionally restored via electrolysis and given multiple coats of grapeseed oil seasoning.
