Here is a nice Griswold #8 with the small block logo and early handle. These skillets were produced in Erie, PA between 1939-1944, just 60 miles from our farm. The small block smooth bottom skillets came in sizes #3-#10. This skillet measures 10.5" wide, 15" long including handle, and is 2" deep. Marked 8 on upper handle, and bottom reads No 8, Griswold small block logo, Erie PA USA, 704 F.
Vintage estate find, please see photos. No cracks or chips. Light utensil marks plus a couple deeper scratches inside but in excellent condition for use or display. Slight one card wobble at room temperature on granite countertop. It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
