Griswold #8 skillet griddle, marked Cast Iron Griddle, 8, The Griswold MFG. Co. with the large block logo, Erie PA USA, 608.. It measures 10" in diameter on the underside and 14" including the length of the handle. Born in Erie, PA, less than 60 miles from our farm sometime between 1925-1940. This is a skillet griddle and has a flat cooking surface. It would be a joy to cook with.
Estate find, please see photos for more information on condition. No cracks or chips, sits flat at room temperature. The underside has light sulphur pitting, caused by cooking many meals over coal fires years ago. A few flea bites and uneven color on the cooking surface as shown, but should season in beautifully with use.
It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil. Perfect for use or display!
