Vintage Griswold #8 skillet with large block logo, smooth bottom, and marked Erie PA USA. Made between 1930-1939 in Erie Pennsylvania, only about 60 miles from our farm. Fully restored and seasoned so it is ready for use or display. Measures 15" long including handle, 10.5" across and 2" deep. This skillet had a catalog number of 704 K. #8 skillets are large enough to cook a meal for the whole family!
Estate find, please review all photos for more information on condition. No cracks, chips or rust pitting. Sits flat at room temperature. This skillet was improperly cleaned at some point and has surface scratches from an abrasive all over as shown. The cooking surface has some utensils marks as well. While it is not in perfect condition as a collectible, it holds seasoning well and will be a great piece to use and enjoy.
It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
