Vintage Griswold #8 skillet with large block logo and heat ring, and marked Erie PA USA. Made between 1920-1929 in Erie Pennsylvania, only about 60 miles from our farm. Fully restored and seasoned so it is ready for use or display. Measures 15" long including handle, 10.5" across and 2" deep. This skillet had a catalog number of 704 V. #8 skillets are large enough to cook a meal for the whole family!
Estate find, please review all photos for more information on condition. No cracks or chips. Extremely light sulphur pitting on the underside, while hardly noticeable it means this skillet has been loved and has cooked many, many meals over the years. Sits flat at room temperature on granite. The cooking surface has some utensil marks and imperfections as shown in photos, but is still in great condition to cook many delicious meals.
It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
