Antique skillet griddle or handle griddle, size 9. Made by Griswold in Erie, PA only about 60 miles from our farm. This griddle is marked 9, ERIE, 739, and has the slant Griswold logo. It was made between 1909-1920's.
This skillet griddle has some condition issues, please review all photos. There are some areas of light rust pitting on the cooking surface. The inside edge of the handle has some imperfections that were not cleaned up at the factory, and there are a couple of blobs on the inside rim on the underside as well. These are known as casting flaws and will not affect cooking performance. Minor wobble if pressed at 5 or 11 o clock, no spin.
All that being said, it's a beautiful piece for display and could still help you cook up some pancakes. The imperfections make the skillet griddle look like the 100+ year old survivor that it is. Rust free and professionally restored with electrolysis. Seasoned multiple times with grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
