Antique skillet griddle or handle griddle, size 8. Made by Griswold in Erie, PA only about 60 miles from our farm. This griddle isarled8, ERIE, 738, and has the slant Griswold logo. It was made between 1909-1920's.
This skillet griddle has some condition issues, please review all photos. There is a significant divot on the cooking surface, I am not certain whether it is a chip or a sizable casting flaw. There are some areas of light rust pitting, but also some beautiful factory swirl marks as well. The end of the handle has rust pitting. Light pitting all over the underside as well, it does affect the logo making the slanted Griswold a lot hard to read. Significant wobble and spin, not suitable for glass top stoves.
All that being said, it's a cute piece for display and could still help you cook up some pancakes. The imperfections make the skillet griddle look like a 100+ year old survivor. Rust free and professionally restored with electrolysis. Seasoned multiple times with grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
