Beautiful vintage cast aluminum roasting pan, made by Guardian Service sometime between 1933-1956. The matching aluminum lid doubles as a serving platter. Both pieces have the hammered aluminum finish and the distinctive Guardian Service handles. The underside of both pieces is stamped Guardian Service with the knight's head. Roaster measures 15" across including handles, 10" wide, and 3.75" deep. Large enough for a sizable roast or a whole chicken! Lid also measures 15" x 10" and is 2" deep.
Vintage estate find, please see photos. Lid is in nearly new condition other than a few spots of discoloration on the platter side. Roaster is in nice condition as well but does have some pitting inside on the cooking surface. Some wear to logo on underside of roaster. Neither piece sits completely flat at room temperature, but would be suitable for all types of cooking with the exception of glass top stoves.
