This is a vintage, 1940's era Lodge skillet. The three notches in the heat ring identify it as vintage Lodge and is known as the "three notch" series. The casting is as fine as a Griswold of the same era but slightly heavier and more affordable for either daily use or display. Measures 8" across and 1.5" deep. Total length with handle is about 12.5"
This piece of vintage Americana is in great condition for its age. Sits flat, no wobble, no cracks or chips. Beautiful swirl marks from the original factory milling, the cooking surface is not rough like modern Lodge. Professionally restored by electrolysis and given several coats of grapeseed oil seasoning. Great for everyday cooking or as a functional piece of decor.
