All 12 issues of Mechanix Illustrated magazine from the year 1959. This magazine was a competitor of Popular Mechanics and Popular Science, and covers many of the same general subjects. Black and white illustrations found throughout. Articles cover things like cars, DIY projects, space, home improvement tips and projects, hunting, boating, the outdoors and more. The full color covers are a great representation of mid century automotive and technology. Has features on the Ford Falcon, Chevy Corvair and Impala, houseboats and more .
Vintage estate find, please see photos. Magazines may have dog ears or peeling cover spines but are very readable if handled with care. Pages have some yellowing but are not brittle. Pl note that the November issue has a tear most of the way down the center but all pieces are present. Damage to the upper corner of December issue as shown. A neat look back at 1959 with lots of vintage articles and advertisements.
