Vintage estate find, please see photos. Overall in very good condition for age. Pages are intact and binding is in good condition.Beautiful gilding on all page edges and is in excellent shape. Gilding on front cover design is also beautiful. A few news clippings have been glued to the back side of the title page, all are also about Whittier- the original owner must have been very fond of the author. Some minor stains may be found on some pages, and there are pencil notations inside. Minor wear to cover, especially to corners, as expected for a book that is over 140 years old! In nearly new condition for age and would be great for study or display.
