Set of 3 vintage Iron Mountain cast iron skillets, size #3, #5 and #8.They were made by Griswold in Erie, PA in the 1920's-1930's. Iron Mountain was one of a number of economy brands which did not say Griswold on them, and could be sold for a lower price at stores, while being the same high quality of standard Griswold skillets. These skillets are marked with numbers only, but have a distinctively shaped handle and Griswold quality.
The #3 measures 6.5" across, 10.5" in length including handle, and is 1.25" deep. A great size for cooking for 1 or for display. It is marked 3, 1031. The #5 measures 8" across, 12.25" including handle, and is 2" deep and marked 5, 1030. The #8 measures 10.75" across, 15.5" including handle, and is 2" deep. Marked 8, 1033 B. Overall, a nice starter set of skillets in a variety of sizes.
All three pans are in good condition, no cracks or chips. All have a slight wobble at room temperature on granite. Light utensil marks inside but in excellent condition for use. The #8 does have a small amount of light rust pitting on the cooking surface as shown. It should season in with use. Please see photos for more information on condition for these vintage items. They are rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. They have been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
