Two volumes of The Boy Mechanic, published by Popular Mechanics over 100 years ago. Set includes volumes 2 & 4. Each book contains hundreds of ideas for things to make for the home, garage, barn or for play. Profusely illustrated with black and white sketches and diagrams. Some projects seem quite dangerous by today's standards but it is an entertaining read that is hard to put down. Volume 2 was published in 1915, Volume 4 in 1924.
Estate find, please review photos. Books are in remarkable condition for age with my beautifully vibrant covers. Binding is intact and pages are not yellow or brittle. Occasional staining may be found inside, primarily from leaves I found pressed between the pages but may have occasional smudges or stains from use years ago.
